new community center

About Us

Now in its new location, the W.B. Goodwin Community Center operates a variety of programs for people of all ages. A membership in the community center is one of the best investments that a family can make

History

The W.B. Goodwin Community Center began in 2005 in very humble beginnings. Operating out of the basement of the Methodist Church Hall and parking lot, the center began to offer modest programs to help the needs of the community. Led by a handful of volunteers the community center over the years has grown to serve hundreds of children, teens and adults, by offering dozens of programs at either no or a greatly reduced cost.

In 2011, from the generosity of local businessman W.B. Goodwin, a new home was provided for the community center. With the added room came the opportunity to offer more programs that have been recommended over the past few years. With the help of our patron saint, Mr. Goodwin, the community center is here to offer services to the community now and into the future.

In 2012, the community center was renamed after Mr. Goodwin and our new website was launched. We look forward to many years of serving the community!

Mission

The mission of the W.B. Goodwin Community Center is to offer opportunities to expand the minds of all the young people that come through the doors. The community center will offer programs for people of all ages and all means, to make this a better community.

Donations

The center is a non-profit organization that relies on funding from the public and private sector. Memberships either on a yearly, semi-annual or monthly basis are available for children, individuals, families or seniro citizens. Businesses and individuals in the community can also help the center by providing monetary or in-kind donations throughout the year. To learn more about memberships or donations, please contact the Executive Director.

Leadership

The community center would not function without the dedicated staff and volunteers that we see on a daily basis.
